The sound insulation of broken bridge aluminum windows is not as good as that of aluminum alloy single-layer windows?

1. Why is the sound insulation effect of the newly replaced broken bridge aluminum insulating glass window not as good as that of the previous aluminum alloy single glass window?

The sound insulation of doors and windows should do the following three aspects:

* After the windows are closed, there must be sufficient airtightness, and there should be no seams that leak air or light, otherwise sound will come in if there are seams;
* The glass configuration must meet the standard, and the glass should be reasonably selected according to the noise source;
* During the installation process, the seams around the window frame and when the window frame is spliced should be filled with foaming agent, and then sealant should be applied on the outside to caulk the seams, and no seams should be left.
I spent money to replace the windows with broken bridge aluminum and insulating glass. Why is the sound insulation effect not as good as the previous aluminum alloy single-layer windows?

First of all, there is a problem of sealing. For example, if an air-conditioning hole is opened on a wall, the sound will come in from the hole, so the sealing may not be done well after the window is closed at the beginning.

In this sliding window, there may be gaps between drainage holes, windproof blocks, sash and window frame. Wind can continuously leak in through the gaps, and sound will also be transmitted inward from these channels. The sound insulation effect is as if the window is not closed.

If you already feel that the sealing is done well, the sound insulation effect is still not good.

There is a way: put your ear against the window to listen for sound leakage. Put your ear against the glass, listen to the sound coming in from the glass, fix the closed part of the circle, open the fan around it, listen to which side leaks the loudest sound, judge the place where the sound comes in the loudest, and then solve it in a targeted manner.

Can changing the tops solve it?

To change the top, you need to remove the window sash. Even if everything is adjusted to the best, this kind of sliding window can only be used in an environment with low noise, and it cannot be used next to the elevated road. There is still space inside the window sill, which can be installed with inward opening and inversion windows, or sliding windows with better airtightness (only a few factories can do this), and the outer windows can be left unchanged.

3. Install a glass shed at home and want to make hollow laminated glass. I heard that this kind of glass has excellent performance in all aspects;

If the balcony is not closed, there is no need to use insulating laminated glass;

Its application scenario is to play a good role in reducing condensed water in winter under closed conditions, but it is not closed, because it is connected with the outside air, and the indoor and outdoor temperatures are actually the same, so it is not easy to form condensed water. In fact, laminated glass can be used. up.

If it is transformed into a room and the ceiling is to be suspended, it is not recommended to use insulating laminated glass;

The roof surface of the sun room must first be waterproofed, and then the outer surface of the glass should be insulated from heat and light, and then the same material should be used for shading and heat insulation on the inner surface of the glass, and then the ceiling should be made. There is no need to use hollow interlayers for the glass.

For the conversion of doors and windows closed as a landscape sun room, where you can drink afternoon tea in summer and watch the stars in winter, you may need a hollow laminated (interlayer) configuration.

3. During installation, if the frame on one side protrudes 1-2 cm from the wall, will it affect the stability and waterproof?

The frame protrudes from the outside, and between the protruding part and the original waterproof coating, there is no problem with thick-resistant sealant.

4. Is XX brand good or not? Is it worth buying?

Baydee often receives similar private messages from fans and friends: "BaydeeBaydee, I want to change the windows at home. I have seen several door and window brands. The AAA brand is a well-known big brand, and the BBB brand is a local factory. I bought the CCC brand..., my head is getting big, help me to see which of these brands is better?"

"Shut up BB, Baydee's head is too big"

First of all, doors and windows are customized products, unlike electronic products such as mobile phones and computers, some of which can even be purchased directly through brands without thinking. At present, it is not realistic to choose doors and windows directly through brands.

The size, series, color, window frame division method, glass and other configurations of doors and windows can be adjusted according to the needs of each family, and the production and installation requirements are also different, that is, "one household, one window".

Not only the brand, product, and price of doors and windows must be considered, but also the design ability and installation experience of the merchant must be inspected. Even if it is a brand with a good product, it cannot guarantee you that the local dealer is experienced and service-minded. Baydee is only one of thousands of door and window practitioners, and it is difficult to be familiar with any brand, product, price, or a certain merchant and manufacturer.

Friends, when learning about door and window merchants, don’t patronize and listen to some shopping guides to tell you, pay more attention to the product samples in the purchase, the supply chain information of the products (hardware, rubber strips, glass, etc.), according to your own needs and budget To choose a product that suits your home, you can refer to some previous articles of Baydee for purchasing suggestions, which will not be detailed here, and you can do your homework by searching on the homepage.

Regarding whether the price is reasonable, regardless of the price quoted by ABCD, remember a core price comparison principle - "compared to the total price, compared to the average price, and compared to the cost performance":

The total price is the red line. Only when the budget is not too much can there be further discussion (it is clear that there will be no additional items); the total price given by the two merchants may be the same, but some merchants may steal the area, so the average The price is more reliable; what you buy is just "worth the price". Don't expect the doors and windows of hundreds of yuan/square meter to block typhoons, wind and rain, isolate road noise, and save energy; everything depends on your own needs.
